Reed's Metals is proud to be a national sponsor of Eight Days of Hope, a faith-based non-profit organization, specializing in disaster relief.

In August 2017, Hurricane Harvey devastated Houston, TX, and the surrounding areas. Eight Days of Hope provided a Rapid Response team during that time, and with the help of Reed's Metals and other organizations, Eight Days of Hope was able to help thousands of families in need of food, water, shelter, and cleaning supplies. Becuase they were not in a flood zone, over 80% of the homes that were damaged did not have flood insurance.

The organization returned to the area for "Eight Days of Hope XIV & XV" March 10, 2018, through March 24, 2018, to provide additional disaster recovery. More than 5,000 volunteers from across the country joined the recovery efforts and more than 800 homes were repaired! The organization not only repaired damaged homes, but also provided free furniture and appliances from gracious donors.

Reed's Metals received many thank you cards from volunteers and recovery recipients in appreciation for our sponsorhip. "Because of folks like you, we have been able to impact the lives of hundreds here in Houston!" wrote one volunteer. One homeowner whose home was repaired by Eight Days of Hope wrote, "My boys and I are very grateful for your support to 8 Days of Hope."
